Autumn/Winter 2015 Trend Report

While here in South Africa we’re already in the midst of winter, other parts of the world have already showcased the looks for Winter 2015. These images come from the March 2015 Fashion Shows for Autumn/Winter. While it was a few months ago, we here in South Africa can take notes for the rest of our chilly season. Some of the looks are conventional and others are slightly out of sorts, but then again, when is fashion not that exciting?!

The first set of looks we look at – a look described as “The Bedford Avenue Granny” on (http://www.style.com/trends/fashion/2015/fall-2015-runway-trends), the look showcases a mash up of knits in different weights, prints on prints and a multitude of colour. The glam factor is not lost as the look can be incredibly chic!

The second set of looks is the ultimate for your inner Glam Goth Goddess! The all black look, with unique touches give this look the revival it needs for a winter revamp. The cuts are elegant and tasteful; they give this look the wow-factor!

The third set of looks is my favourite, the ‘70s boho chic look! The ’70s and all things are seen in the delicate gowns, flares and intricate details. The look was a hit for Spring/Summer 2015 and it’s made its way into the Autumn/Winter 2015 looks, proving that peace is still in. It’s definitely a winner!

The fourth set of looks is very mod, it’s the ultimate mod! Bringing back the conventionally monochrome but also vibrant with colour look is the ultimate for a girl looking to show off her ‘60s girly style in a mature and stylish way. I love this look and the fact that it never goes away!

The fifth set of looks is one of the most classic looks that never ever go out of style. Minimalism is for every fashion-conscious shopper who is looking to stand out but still be minimal and elegant. The look is perfect and with the use of neutral colours and knits, it is on point this season!

The sixth look is the sexiest look in the season, it showcases a variety of girly, playful looks that make any girl look ready for a night on the town! Baby-doll dresses are seen in a whole new light this season, looking very mature and dazzling. The look with all its soft colours and small but significant detailing is a top-notch winner!
