I feel as though I owe you all endless apologies for my long absence but at least I’m back. Today I’m hitting you with a new YouTube video where Rueben and I answer questions for the Engagement Tag.
Be sure to check out the video and give it a thumbs up while you’re at it, it would seriously mean the world to me. While you’re there also leave me a comment and let me know the types of videos you’d like to see me do. I have a couple in mind but I’d love to hear from you. Starting a YouTube channel has been even more challenging than you could ever think, with a full-time job getting to do the things I really want to do takes a lot of time. I’m not going to get discouraged though, I’m going to keep pushing to make it work.
I was meant to upload this video last week Thursday, that was a flop but I’m actually so happy that it worked out the way it did. The reason I’m happy is because now I get to share with you guys a few of our engagement shoot pics!
Our Engagement shoot
We didn’t want the classic engagement style shoot, Rueben and I decided that we wanted something that is unique to us and so that’s what we did. Our photographers, Shanleigh and Simon from Thunder and Love were absolutely phenomenal and we couldn’t have asked for better.
The location and style
We shot on the gorgeous sand dunes out in Atlantis – no not the lost city unfortunately, but equally as breath taking. It was a location that I would have never considered but I’m beyond happy that we did. It felt so glamourous even though the wind was blowing and our shoes were weighed down by the sand, nothing took away from the wonder of it all. We also shot outside a local pub that had a very rustic appeal.
I wanted it to look like we had just come back from a raucous party or even possibly from a Vegas wedding. 😉 Rueben looked amazing in his untucked Polo shirt and chinos combo and I wore a metallic cocktail dress from H&M.
I certainly think the results speak for themselves, seeing these images makes me so excited to see the wedding photos when we get to that day. If you would like to see more of Thunder and Love‘s work then be sure to click on their name.
The video is down below – please don’t miss it, show it some love and share it! Click on the title to open up the video in YouTube and you’ll be able to like and comment from there.
What do you think of our shoot and our video? Please be sure to let me know!
Thanks, VB xx
