Time for another good ol’ DIY! A simple way to make your fishnet stockings look chic and instantly create a whole new look. I was of course inspired by the incredible talents of Lirika Matoshi who started this trend and sells her amazing stockings, chokers and headpieces on Etsy.
What you’ll need:
♦ Fishnet stockings (duh!)
♦ Fabric scissors
♦ Needle and thread
I wish I could say it’s really easy and you’ll be done in no time but the truth is if you want it to look great, it’s really gonna take time. Was I fully happy with my end result? I would have loved to add a whole lot more lace flowers and really embellish them. I think I probably will end up doing so 😉
It takes tons of patience to attach a lace flower to like the smallest surface area. So if you’re a ‘let’s get this done in five minutes’ kinda person then this is kinda not for you.
Simply put on your fishnets because in my rookie experience, there is really no other way to do it. Decide where you want to place the embellishment and get to sewing! I mean, I feel like you could probably glue on the embellishments but I prefer to sew.
I love the way it looks though, I think its a gorgeous trend that will really change the face of fishnet stockings. Not that fishnets have a face but you know what I mean!!
Be sure to watch my video below to see how I did my stockings. If you like it, please give me a thumbs up, if you don’t then still give me thumbs up anyway. 😛
What do you think of this look/trend? Would you wear it? Let me know in the comments below and also let me know if there are any other DIYs you would like me to try out!
Thanks, VB xx
