Lookbook: Winter Edition

With winter in full swing, I thought it would be great to show you some of my fave outfits of the season. I love these looks because they are so customisable and easy for day time. When winter rolls around I’m always pretty miserable but I love that I have a few key looks that I can rely on.

Outfit #1

Preppy chic

This is honestly one of my most fave outfits ever. It feels so quirky and preppy and comfortable! I love my Vans so much and they just add the perfect finishing touch to this look. The dress I have had for ages and I wear it all year round, the turtle neck took some getting used to. I hate how tight it felt around my neck at first but with time I’ve grown to enjoy the warmth and comfort. Simply adding this turtle neck under this dress with a pair of tights and sneakers, makes this one of my go-to looks for sure. Don’t forget your oversized jacket or coat!

Outfit #2

If you’ve read any of my older posts you’ll know that I’m a proud shortie! That doesn’t mean that I dont want to feel taller from time to time. This head-to-toe all black ensemble is great because you can accessorise it differently each time you wear. And of course, it will ensure that you look taller, slimmer and chicer. These pants are so skin tight so I love the contrast of the oversized sweater. Add a pair of heeled ankle boots and you’re set, now you can simply accessorise however you like.

Outfit #3

Mod Professional

Want to freshen up your work attire? Well, if you’re in the lucky position like I am where you dont have a uniform then this look is for you. I simply paired a linen blouse with a pair of patched mom jeans, complete with a classic black belt. What I love about this look is that the shirt keeps the look formal enough for the office but I’m playing around with other aspects of the look. I added the camo jacket in the place of a classic blazer for warmth and I added a pair of ankle boots to complete the look. You could even rock this in summer, minus the jacket and with a pair of stilettos instead. It’s a great office alternative.

Outfit #4

Sweater Weather

Yes, it’s going to get cold outside but that doesn’t mean you can’t look your best. It’s sweater season and I love quirky and colourful knits. Maybe it’s because we don’t get tacky winter sweaters because of our summer christmas. Whatever it may be, I love a cosy knit that you can pair with a variety of chic looks.

I had these jeans for years and I stopped wanting to wear them because they just felt dated. That was until I decided to fray the hem, now I can honestly say that they’re at the top of the pile. I completed this sweater and jeans combo with a classic belt and chelsea boots for a timeless, day-to-night look.

Lastly, here’s a cheeky little video for you to see what the outfits look like in motion.
