I cannot believe it’s been so long! I apologise profusely and I hope you’re not giving up on me just yet. For my return I thought it would be great to attempt to do a makeup tutorial! Bold, I know. Considering I’m really no expert, I thought this would be so much fun. Makeup is something I really love and I think that the more you experiment, the more you grow. I really feel that makeup brings people together and it’s great how much we can learn from each other.
Here are the products I bought and used in my ‘Attempting a makeup tutorial’ video:
This is honestly one of the prettiest eyeshadow palettes ever – in my humble opinion. The colours are great for day or night and they blend really well. I like that there are 3 matte shades that can create the perfect subtle smokey eye and that the shimmer shades will be perfect to glam up the look. The mirror is ideal for when you’re on the go and the price makes it perfect for a drugstore purchase.

I’m not sure I’ll ever use black eyeliner ever again. This was revolutionary for me, because I always feel like my eyes look small or tired and this changed that completely. It really does glide on easily and it’s not harsh on the eyes. I think you could honestly just use this and mascara and you’re good to go!
The Essence Extreme Lasting Eye Pencil (nude)

I realise this might not be everyone’s first choice but I love it because it’s shimmery! It’s a warm tone so it really brings colour to your face and if you’re not too skilled in contouring (like me) then this is exactly what you need. It’s also perfect for when you want a more subdued look because you won’t need blush or highlighter if you use this bronzer.
The Wet n’ Wild Coloricon Bronzer (Ticket to Brazil)

I’m such a blush lover! This image might not do this blush justice but it’s really peachy and subtle and perfect for creating a light rosy look. It’s compact and fit’s right into any makeup bag easily. I’ve struggled to find blush in a shade that isn’t too harsh and too pinky but I can honestly say that this will always be my first choice.
The Rimmel Blush (Santa Rose)

Oh em gee, I absolutely love this product so much! I’ve always found it so tough to find a highlighter that wouldn’t take up my whole monthly makeup budget and then I found this one. I swear, BYS got it just right for me. I like to combine the two shimmery shades together to create the perfect “blinding highlight”. There’s not much I can say other than that I really love it and would recommend this product to anyone looking to sparkle all day long!
The BYS Highlighting Trio (Illuminate Multi)

Who knew glosses would make a comeback? This one is awesome, it is such a pretty nude and it doesn’t leave you feeling sticky and full of regret wishing you had gone for a matte lippie instead. It’s moisturising and the colour holds so well, it also smells great too just btw. It’s definitely a one-coat kinda gloss which is the best kind!
