So this weekend I supported a great colleague of mine, Reana van Tonder, by attending an event hosted by an associate of hers on Friday and then attending one of her shows on Saturday. Reana, who runs her own modelling school, has personal experience in modelling in her youth and on the Friday show she reprised her old catwalk strut. The show was a charity event to raise funds for the Feed A Child Foundation and Animal Welfare Society Stellenbosch. The dresses presented were made by local small design seamstresses in the area. The photographs below, showcase just a handful of the great outfits that were on display.
The second show on Saturday was a mid-year show held by Reana for her modelling students. While many of the students are very young, the older girls really stood out and did great. The young ones are little stars in the making with so much potential. The theme for the show was “Time” spanning from the past straight on through to the future fashion.
Both shows were a great success and I am proud to have supported and plan to do so more in future! Maybe as a judge in future 😉 hint hint Reana!
